What effect does the electromagnetic spectrum have on living things?,br> Kimm B.

Dear Kimm-
Electromagnetism effects all sorts of life on this planet. Plants, birds, and toads have been involved in experiments related to the effects of electromagnetic waves. There is some evidence that seems to point to a disruption in the breeding patterns of birds when electromagnetic fields are changed. Apparently pigeons are also able to use electromagnetic waves for navigation during their migrations.

Electromagnetic Radiation also can be harmful at high frequencies. I've included a link to a research project from Russia. It's difficult reading, but the chart at the end shows some of the effects they encountered in their research.

This article has an easy to read explanation about it's effect on plants: The Sacred and Secret Life of Plants

Another good site- reading level is moderate to advanced: Navigation and Migration

The Russian Study - reading level is advanced: Influence of High-frequency Electromagnetic Radiation at Non-thermal Intensities on the Human Body

I hope this helps

The Navigation and Migration site was best for us, thanks for your help.
