ClassBrain Visitor:

Who is the Kansas senator?

ClassBrain Response:

Thanks for visiting We have received your question about the current Senator of Kansas and we hope the following information will help you out.

As stated in Article 1, Section 3 of the United States Constitution,

“The Senate of the U.S. shall be composed of two Senators from each state, chosen by the legislature thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote.”

This basically means that there is not one but two Senators for the state of Kansas.

Here are the Senators of Kansas and their websites:

Sam Brownback Class III

Pat Roberts Class II

*Note* - You may have noticed that after the names of each Senator is a Class number. Senators that are Class I are serving until 2007. Senators that are Class II are those whose terms of service expire in 2003. Those with Class III after their names will serve until 2005.

This last link is to search for any Senator in the 107th U.S. Congress. You can choose to search by Name, State, or Party next time you need information.

We hope this answers your question completely!
