Jackson Sharp & Company - Car and Ship Builders (1863-1950)
The Jackson and Sharp Photograph Collection contains roughly 8,500 glass negatives, film negatives, and prints dating from 1869-1946. The 3,715 prints are arranged alphabetically by type of car, ship or item and thereunder chronologically by date of manufacture. Views of railway equipment, cars under construction, railroad wrecks, and hand cars are also contained.

Captured in Time - A Photographic History of Delaware
One of the little known treasures at the Archives is their photograph collection. Consisting of over 500,000 photographs, the collection ranges in time from the mid-19th century to the present. Included in this collection are photographs of street scenes, civic organizations, individuals, churches, houses, businesses, industries, construction projects, ships, railroad cars, and many other topics and interests.
