Halloween Candy Buy-back

Goblins, ghosts, and candy, oh my! The most ghoulish day of year, Halloween, is on its way. Why not save your teeth and help a good cause? Every year you probably collect enough candy to feed the troops… and this year, you can take part of it and do exactly that!

Candy Buy-Back program supporting Operation Gratitude

The annual Halloween Candy Buy Back program is back for another year with Operation Gratitude. In 2005, the organization was founded as a way to get excess Halloween candy “off the streets” and to the troops. This year, Spry and Operation Gratitude have partnered up with dentist offices nationwide. In addition to collecting your excess Halloween candy to send to the troops overseas, they’re going to send along toothbrushes and other necessary oral care items. This simple act of kindness will give soldiers a “Halloween away from home,” and in return, you’ll get $1 per pound for the candy and, possibly, a new toothbrush.

Spry Dental Defense System, includes gums, mints and other oral care products, and utilizes the ingredient xylitol, which is a naturally-occurring sugar alternative that has amazing dental health benefits. This year, Spry will be teaming up with participating dental practices to offer their healthy Halloween treats and other oral care products to give you an additional incentive for giving up your extra Halloween candy.

So, have a wickedly good time collecting candy, turn part of it into some fun spending money, all while supporting the troops by sending them a sweet treat.

Don’t forget to send a card or letter with your candy.  It will get packaged up and sent to the troops as well.  These little treats let the military troops know that someone was thinking of them.

Have a Happy and Healthy Halloween!
